Have GeekVape brought the Alpha to the Omega sub ohm tanks?
GeekVape have had a fantastic year in terms of new products it has to be said. The Aegis range has proven to be very popular, the Nova was a fantastic box mod, the blade proved to be a great option. The Alpha sub ohm tank is GeekVape’s answer to the leading market of tanks and tries to compete directly with the mesh pro/falcon/cleitos on the market. By offering the GeekVape quality, have they brought something just as good as the rest or does it fall in the competition’s shadow? Before we get into all of that, let’s go through all the details first.

About the GeekVape Alpha
The Alpha sub ohm tank is GeekVape’s premier tank on the market today. It comes with a large 4 mil capacity as standard shaped into a bubble glass design. The tank is a top fill button release which automatically swings open to reveal a kidney hole shaped fill. It comes with bottom adjustable airflow and a 810 replaceable drip tip on top. The coils come with Egyptian cotton wicking for increased flavour and wicking potential. The 0.4 ohm coil comes with the new Meshmellow design designed to give the best vape on the market today though the vapour and flavour production. The tank comes with a beautiful resign design aimed to match the Nova for a complete perfect set up from the drip tip all the way down to the airflow ring.
GeekVape Alpha Pros
Looks wise the Alpha is a beautiful looking sub ohm tank, probably one of my favourite on the market today. the lovely Resign design really makes it stand out in a nice and sleek sort of way. The tank feels quality and there has been no chipping or marking of the design at all with some heavy use over the past couple of weeks so that is a major pro point for me. The button on top of the tank to release the fill hole is another fantastic addition to the tank as it works flawlessly, simply press and it swings open. The button comes with enough resistance that you won’t find it opening by accident, it will only open when you press all the way down for that added little bit of security. The tank has absolutely no leaking at all, the glass is firmly in place via the O rings which again is another great feature of the tank. In fact I dropped the tank and broke the glass and when trying to remove it, it was a nightmare in a good way because it shown just how secure it is once it is all put together. Vaping on it feels quality, from the drip tip to the juice longevity, it doesn’t drink the liquid half as quick as other sub ohm tanks on the market so you get that little bit of extra life out of each 4mil tank.
The coils are another thing entirely I have found and they are fantastic, as good as most on the market to some extent. The 0.2 coil comes with great flavour and vapour production at around 80w, very enjoyable to vape on and the life out of it had it still going strong 2 weeks into using it. The Meshmellow coil provides a different vape experience in contrast, giving the vapour a lovely smooth feel in the mouth , especially mixed with creamy liquids. You still get great flavour but the smoothness makes the vape fantastic, it really becomes enjoyable to vape on.
GeekVape Alpha Cons
I have to be honest, there isn’t anything really I can fault the tank on. Nothing that really stands out in all honesty. The flavour perhaps is not completely comparable to something like the falcon or the mesh pro but it is still a lovely flavour in there. The Meshmellow coil perhaps being a little lower wattage than the normal coil is a con as I would love to experience that smooth vape at a higher power. The glass being so secure as mentioned means it is a little difficult to remove it when broken, I have since started to use a Vape band around it to ensure it does not happen again. I suppose in a completely constructive way, the fill hole could be a little bigger to prevent any bubbling when filling, especially as the top is so secure with the button release.
It seems everything that GeekVape try their hand at just oozes quality and the Alpha is no exception to this rule. The tank reminds me in a lot of ways to something like the Prince tank, except the coils perform so much better and offer such a nicer vape. the meshmellow coil experience is worth picking up this tank to try alone, completely different to anything else I have tried up until this point. The tank does differ from its competition though, it feels much more of a power tank at the 0.2 range, again similar to the prince in that respect. So it lacks the intensity of the mesh pro or the completely solid flavour of the falcon but it makes up for it in vapour production and smoothness so the tank gives something no other tank does on the market today.
Geekvape have put themselves at the top of another market in vaping, the GeekVape Alpha is an Alpha wolf in the pack that is growing by the week.
Geekvape have brought another quality product to market in the Alpha that offers both a quality vape and smooth experience far better than any other coil claims. The Alpha is worth taking notice of, the best hidden Gem in Sub Ohm vaping.
